What a wild time this month was. It's no wonder I haven't had much time for blogging or crafting or anything!

I started the month off by driving my happy little a$$ to Missouri from Florida for the total eclipse.

Was it a breathtaking experience? Yes. Was it also stressful and exhausting? Double yes. Would I do it again? Triple yes, but I would bring company next time. That being said, I have my eye on the next total eclipse in 2026 and I am looking forward to it greatly! Here are some of my favorite photos from the trip.

I've also been taking pottery wheel classes, which has been so much fun and very rewarding. We have worked our way through lidded jars, bowls, cups, handles, and more. Of course I had to feature a wren on one! And I made a tiny yarn bowl for my tiny yarn.

My audio books for April have been Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell and Red Rising. I liked Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell a great deal. It was my road trip book and it was very good company. I made it through 30 of the 32 hours of playtime on the road.

Red Rising is very dark, and I had to take a break from it for a while. There is a lot of death early on, and an intense transformation sequence that rattled my nerves, so I put it in time out. Now that I'm listening to it again, I am enjoying it.

The food this month has been great!!! EM and I made an awesome Mediterranean dish with flatbread and cucumber salad, and then I made a foccacia and he suggested making paninis with provolone and pancetta. Yum!!

I also went to a networking potluck where we all brought a homecooked meal. I was a bit out of my element but it was really nice to meet other local ladies who love to cook!

Finally, my crochet and crafting updates! In April, I found lots of clothing projects that I want to do. I will post more about them in my Not-So-Quarterly update that I've been putting off until I take more photos lol.

I am working on a cardigan and skirt combo presently. The cardigan is based on a pattern and the skirt will be freestyle with design elements inspired by the cardigan. My friends at my crochet group suggested it and I'm very excited!

I also have a bolero I'm making with Malabrigo Rios yarn, another one I am excited for. Malabrigo is yarn on another level. If you haven't had the chance to use it yet, I highly recommend it!!

I also finished a matching pair of new suncatchers, made EM a gift, and started working on a new original design. I have new karma charms, wine glass charms, and earrings, too!

I also attended TWO markets as a vendor. This made the last weekend of April extremely busy, but it was a lot of fun!! As always, if you see a piece of my work that you want, ask about it! If it's not for sale, I am happy to take a custom order!

Here are some fun photos from my market booths!

Thanks for sticking around! I hope everyone has a wonderful May!
