An old project I am trying desperately to finish this month

In celebration of both Fiber and February, there is an Instagram challenge going on now! Find the details over on this post if you'd like to participate (even if you'll need to catch up on a few days haha).

There are some other fiber social media challenges coming up too!

Last year, I participated in part of AmiguruMay, which is hosted by @airali_gray and is a lot of fun if you like amigurumi!

Be sure to mark your calendar for June 10th this year! It's Knit (and crochet) in Public Day! The local yarn group I organize will be meeting up outdoors for that day. I think it will be a great celebration of both summer and our favorite craft!

On the personal front, I am finally getting myself out there as a crochet artist and attending markets whenever I can! I have a physical booth in an antique shop, and I made a (small) profit for my very first market near my hometown, in Howey in the Hills, Florida. As I collect more knowledge and experience, I will definitely be writing up my findings for you all!

I also found an amazing yarn dyer who dyes lots of beautiful yarn and makes fun, nerdy stitch markers right here in Orlando, Florida! Go check out String Theory Colorworks to see her incredible offerings. I had so much fun meeting her and her husband this past weekend!

The last thing I will say is that I have started a yarn journal after seeing one someone made on Instagram, and I am excited to share it with you all. I don't have time in this post though, so it will be another one! Stay tuned!

What other fiber-related days and events are you looking forward to this month and/or year? Are there any markets or events you're planning to attend?
