Today is the day! Today, we can venture out into the public to meet our fellow yarn friends, mingle with our community, and draw some well-deserved attention to our craft!

If you're not savvy with the trend, here's what's good!

Every year for the past 19 years, there has been a World Wide Knit in Public Day. It happens on the second Saturday in June, and encourages fiber artists to find a hosted event to meet others in their community. When it began in 2005, there were about 25 local events. Now, there are hundreds of events in dozens of countries all over the world!

Yarn & Coffee Mount Dora is a WWKIP Day event today!

I am so pleased to be hosting one of these events today. I started a local yarn enthusiast group in July of last year, and I have registered our local meetup as a WWKIP Day event! I'm looking forward to seeing some new and familiar faces at our event today!

If you're in the Mount Dora, Florida area, check out the Facebook page for Yarn & Coffee Mount Dora for event info!
