ABOUT ME

Welcome to the Roving Wren's nest!

My name is Celeste Ramirez, and I am an enthusiastic artist and creator. I have been crocheting for 10 years, and crochet is at the forefront of my artistic expression.

My mother actually tried to teach me when I was very young, but I didn't stick with it until 2014. Now, I enjoy making all sorts of crocheted things! I have been interested in clothing lately, but I have also made blankets, plushies, home decor items, and jewelry, among many other things.

My experience with making many things, as well as my enrollment in the Crochet Guild of America's Crochet Master course and the Craft Yarn Council's Certified Instructor course, have prepared me to teach others this rewarding craft. Over the past year, I have taught dozens of people the basics of crochet, and assisted more skilled crocheters with confusing patterns and advanced techniques. I love seeing creativity find a new channel through a growing skill!

By trade, I am a programmer, and this has assisted with the attention to detail needed for pattern writing and pattern testing for other designers. If you are looking for a pattern tester for your design, please let me know by emailing me at info@rovingwren.art.

In addition to crochet and other yarncraft, I also enjoy drawing and painting, reading and listening to audiobooks, playing video games, hiking and camping, and making my home cozy.
